This past week I visited Mason Neck, a state park off of the Potomac river. Instead of a regular post with text and a narrative this will more or less just be a collection photos with some captions, enjoy! As usual, all these photos are in the order I took them.
Mason Neck has some small beaches that make this area feel more like an ocean shore or at least one of a bay
A few shells that I placed together on the shore
Part of the beach had small cliffs like these
Same cliff from the previous photo viewed from the side
I wanted to express more of the texture and patern of the dirt and sand here
Inside a split log on the beech
At the end of the beech there were these water trough things. Not sure there purpose or use but they look interesting
These two trees and the vines created an interesting natual archway to walk through
This is another beech at the park though not connected to the previous one; it has a bit more sand on it
Parts of the beech was covered in what almost looked to be seaweed though I guess more accurately riverweed
Texture and color of water moving through the sand
Simular to the previous image just from a slightly different perspective
The many trails formed by the water
Tree-arch with riverweed
Some of the paths at Mason neck go through a pretty marsh-like area
Some of the pretty forested paths at Mason neck
Some trees taken with a longer exposure (think 8th/sec) with me moving the camera very fast, kind an of abstarct photo I guess
